We will have two prenatal appointments at your home (if you prefer).
A variety of topics will be discussed including: your ideal birth, health, physical and emotional well-being, understanding information from your doctor or midwife.
We will also review healthy eating habits, meditation and mindfulness techniques, and comfort techniques during labor (including pain management), which you can practice during your pregnancy.
I will meet with you once in your home to help you process your birth experience and assist with postpartum adjustment.
I will do whatever you need at the time: help with breastfeeding, walk the dog, do the dishes ... you name it!
What is a doula?
A doula is trained to support the mother before, during, and after childbirth. Not only can a doula help you have a more satisfying birth experience, but she can also reduce your risk of having a C Section and help you have a shorter labor. Find out more about what a doula can do for you and your partner.
Before we begin, we'll meet in person to discuss your pregnancy, previous births, and my background and doula services. This gives us a chance to meet and decide if we would like to work together.
Contact me today for a free 1-hour consultation.
I will provide on-call support for you 24 hours a day beginning at 37 weeks.
Once active labor begins, I will be by your side, supporting you and your partner at home, in the hospital, or birth center.
If your hospital does not provide lactation consultants, I will help with your first breastfeeding session after birth.
